Battles against ISIS can be won, but what about the war?

Not a week goes by anymore without the world being affected by radical Islam. The latest victim of this barbaric, medieval ideology, was Berlin, Germany. In a scenario similar to the one that took place in Nice, France on July 14, 2016, a terrorist drove a truck through a crowded Christmas market, killing 12 and wounding 49. Anis Amri, the Tunisian immigrant who attacked the Christmas market was caught and shot as he was on the run in Italy. He had sought asylum in Germany a few years ago but was denied because of possible ties with radical Islam.

Just days prior, Andrey Karlov, the Russian Ambassador in Turkey, was shot seven times in public in Ankara, while the Turkish shooter screamed Allahu Akbar (God is great) in Arabic, followed by “Do not forget Aleppo! Do not forget Syria! Do not forget Aleppo! Do not forget Syria!” The shooter was a Turkish police officer, casting a lot of doubt on how Turkey and many other countries vet their police, military and government workers.

These two terrorist attacks took place within a week. Many more reports could be added to them as the world continues to be plagued by Islamic terror. The Islamic State seems to be the ideological thread between these violent murders across the planet. Their grip on Western civilization isn’t weakening, even if parts of the Middle East that they had taken are now taken back. The Middle East crisis with ISIS is just the tip of the iceberg. Sure they hate Israel and the Jews. They are indoctrinated at an early age to believe that Jews are “pigs and monkeys” deserving death. But their grip goes much deeper than boots on the ground in a couple of strategic places in the Middle East. Are we looking at a different kind of caliphate?

Islamic State murders: By now, it is beyond obvious that the Islamic State will stop at nothing to further its apocalyptic agenda. It has been very violent and has graphically proven to the world that its murderous creativity is relentless. They will kill in many ways using men, women AND children to further their agenda of death. Suicide bombers are modern day kamikazes seeking Islamic bliss in paradise by killing more infidels. The culture of death that drives ISIS seems unstoppable against a world that values and respect life.

Islamic State infiltrates: If–as everything seems to lead to– the Russian Ambassador shooter had a connection to ISIS, now we have an Islamist radical who infiltrated the Turkish police. ISIS’ most successful method of infiltration has been through the recent various waves of refugees especially in Europe. The November 2015 Bataclan massacre in Paris was facilitated by the migrant crisis ebb and flow throughout Europe. At least one of the protagonists came to Paris through that venue and they will continue to do so all over the world until better vetting systems are in place, using our political correctness to their lethal advantage.

Islamic State recruits: They will actually pay people money to recruit for them. The shift in terrorism recruitment that started to take place with ISIS is the fact that the recruiters do not only target males. Females and children are now part of the ongoing Islamic State strategy for recruitment. For reasons that remain hard to figure out, they also have been rather successful at recruiting Westerners. This makes profiling much more complicated. Social media has also been a very fruitful platform for radical Islam recruiting. Twitter and Facebook still have a long way to go in helping with the eradication of Internet terrorism. We still see accounts being suspended for promoting “Islamophobia” and accounts remaining open that clearly promote antisemitism and killing of Jews amongst other things. Double standards seem at play on the social networks.

Islamic State inspires: But the most dangerous aspect of the Islamic State is the fact that even outside of infiltrating or recruiting, they inspire! Their apocalyptic ideology of death is inspiring people to act on their behalf even without having been trained in Syria or elsewhere. Their magazines are polished and attractive. The attraction to ISIS is puzzling to most Westerners yet it is real. That is one of the major strength of the Islamic State, even though they will probably never establish any kind of global caliphate geographically speaking, they are establishing a virtual caliphate at a faster pace! This is what I believe will make the war against ISIS virtually impossible to win. but nobody can predict an attack like the killing of the French priest in Normandy. One of his killers had tried to enter Syria unsuccessfully and yet he bought into the ISIS ideology remotely…enough to murder an innocent old man who was not threat to Islam whatsoever. This is our challenge!

I am afraid that the war against ISIS and any other sort of Islamic apocalyptic ideology like Al-Qaeda or Boko Haram will be a very long war for the West to fight. The old optimistic adage of “losing the battle but winning the war” has been reversed for our generation. I am convinced that we will successfully win many battles against Islamic terrorism but we might never win the war!

Global Muslim Enclaves: Connecting the Dots of the Caliphate!

I grew up playing all kinds of harmless board games like Monopoly® or Clue®. Another one of my favorites was RISK®, where players competed against one another to conquer the world one region at a time, one continent at a time. One of the winning strategies was to slowly increase your army strength all across the globe without much fighting until you had enough in a few places to “connect the dots” and then descend on your enemy, decimate them and take over their territories without much harm to your army.

While there is no longer any doubt in our collective minds that Islam has been on a growing spurt for several decades, the manner in which it has chosen to expand is much like a real time game of RISK®. And all of it is happening under the eyes of the West or like others would say “in plain sight”! It seems to me that Muslims have been positioning the dots quietly for a while now.
The next logical move is of course to connect those dots, and I see it happening in three different ways. Two of these ways have been documented in several previous articles of mine as well as my first book on the re-birth of antisemitism (They Have Conspired Against You: Responding to the New Antisemitism).
First, as I have been sharing for about 15 years, the global Muslim demographics are such that many European countries currently are on the irreversible slope of extinction of the natives. Birth rates in Muslim communities have far exceeded those of the natives in at least the last five decades. Several European countries are well below the needed 2.1% child per family to maintain their existence, let alone grow larger. Mark Steyn documented that fact extremely well in his book America Alone. Dots have been connecting demographically

Second, we can also notice that the dots have connected rapidly in the recent past from an ideological perspective with the advent of the Islamic State. ISIS acts as somewhat of a “clearinghouse” for global Islam and for reasons that would escape most westerners, they are becoming attractive to people that originally had nothing to do with Islam. Worldwide Muslims and new converts are becoming united by this new wave of Islamic ideology (religion, diet, politics, banking, education). The Islamic State has obviously established a barbaric and murderous reputation for itself in no time at all, yet it continues to attract new recruits daily. These new recruits have three main enemies: The Jews, Christians and the West. Dots have been connecting ideologically

Third, there are countries that are predominantly if not completely Muslim and have been for a while such as Afghanistan, Egypt, Libya, Senegal, Indonesia and many more. Then there are countries that have a growing Muslim community, but at a much slower rates. Finally, there are countries that really never had much of a Muslim community until the last few decades, yet they are seeing a blossoming of their Muslim population. This growth is noticeable in countries like Belgium, the Netherlands, Sweden, the United-Kingdom and France to name just a few from the EU.
The concern that we should have is not so much in the growth but in the lack of integration or assimilation into the European countries named above. It would simply be a case of unwarranted xenophobia for anyone to ask non-natives to get out of the country they emigrated to. Yet currently, we can observe that Muslim enclaves are being set-up and growing in a way that can only become increasingly conducive to tension if not riots.
Sweden is a good example of that trend. More than 50 areas have been identified in that country, where non-Muslims are not welcome and often in danger for their lives. These area are regulated by sharia law, yet they are geographically located in countries that are not sharia compliant, at least for the time being, but I fear a change on the horizon.
Paris, France has some districts like Belleville where non-Muslims feel very uneasy. Marseilles in the south of France also has a very large Muslim community. All in all, there are over 750 Zones Urbaines Sensibles (Sensitive Urban Areas) in France. These areas are places ruled by Muslims that the French government doesn’t control (not necessarily by choice). They are also known as “No-Go zones” and they keep growing in size and number.
But in case you thought that this was a problem mostly confined to Western Europe, maybe you should pay a visit to Dearborn, Michigan. This city has the largest Muslim population in the whole United States and at times, it would seem that sharia takes precedence over the US Constitution. The dots are spreading out on all continents. Dots have been connecting geographically.
We might not see it yet, but as the dots continue to connect and spread geographically, even the most “moderate” Muslims will be forced to chose a side, and where they end up might surprise all of us. Let me be clear and state that multiculturalism, as a way to assimilate or integrate non-native people groups and especially Muslims, has been a failure for the most part.
I was born in Paris, France and came to America 30 years ago. I had learned the language and was very willing to adapt further to the “American Way”. I love America and still believe that it is the best country in the world (yes, I will admit that this last November elections gave me a sense of renewed hope).
I simply believe that if we continue to ignore the connecting of the dots, we will soon be entangled in a web of global proportions. If you have ever observed an insect getting caught into a spider’s web, you have witnessed the surprise, followed by the struggle to escape and the unavoidable slow agony. This is not the way I wish for western civilization to end. The dots are currently connecting and in plain sight. Speak up or get caught!
Finally, I do not want this article to be misunderstood for a racist manifesto against all Muslims. I strongly believe that all Muslims are enslaved by an archaic religious system. The God of the universe can be found on the pages of the Tenach (Old Covenant) in every one of the Jewish books and can also be met on the pages of the B’rit Hadasha (New Covenant). He is known as the God of Israel and wants a personal relationship with all people regardless of their upbringing. He loves mankind enough that He provided a way for Muslims, Jews, Christians and Atheists alike to spend eternity with Him. That way is through the death of Mashiach ben Yosef and the reign of Mashiach ben Dovid. Yeshua of Nazareth came as ben Yosef to die for us all (Isaiah 52:13-53:12) and will soon return as ben Dovid to reign from Jerusalem.
Mashiach ben Yosef and Mashiach ben Dovid…Now those are two dots worth connecting if you ask me!
